Our Beliefs

We believe God, through His Son Jesus Christ, has an incredible plan for your life! We believe that we are fearfully and wonderfully created by the triune Godhead. We believe our journey to eternal life begins with accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. After that incredible encounter, we believe that we should begin spending time with Jesus in daily devotion and prayer, reading our Bibles, and getting planted into a local Church. We believe the power of the Holy Spirit transforms us into witnesses and empowers us to live victoriously and accomplish impossible things. We believe that journeying together with other believers in community enables us to be strong, do more, and make an impact in our world.

The Bible

II Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; Exodus 24:4; II Peter 3:2

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are the divine revelations given from God and received by Man, and as such, are the only such revelations that are inspired and infallible. The Bible is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and morals. The Word of God is the direct revelation of the will of God for all men and for all time. The Scriptures were plenary-verbally inspired, that is the Holy Spirit breathed upon men the very words and thoughts He wanted in conjunction with the writers personalities, traits and emotions. The Holy Spirit guarded and preserved each thought, phrase and word from any error, omission or inaccuracy.

God, Our Heavenly Father, and The Trinity

Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 48:16; Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:4-6

Our God, and Sovereign Father, is revealed in Scriptures as the eternal Godhead, the Trinity, who has shown Himself as one God, existing in three persons – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Godhead is distinguishable but indivisible in essence; co-eternal, co-existent, co-equal in nature, attributes, power and glory.

Our Lord Jesus Christ & Salvation

Colossians 1:15-19; Philippians 2:5-8; I Timothy 2:5-6; John 1:1-3, 14-18 Romans 5:12-21; Romans 10:9-10; John 3:16-17; I John 3:8

The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who pre-existed with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Through the virgin birth, Jesus took upon Himself the form of Man, revealing Himself as the God-Man. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless perfect life, was crucified, died, buried, ressurrected on the 3rd day, ascended, glorified and will come again a second time for His bride the Church. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to the earth to shed His blood, to redeem and restore man back to God. Salvation is the free gift of God to mankind and is received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. This salvation experience occurs when an individual confesses with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in his heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead.

The Holy Spirit

Matthew 3:11; John 14:16-17; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Acts 2; Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:11; 12 :4-8; Ephesians 4:16; I Timothy 4:14; II Timothy 1:6-7; I Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-40; I Peter 4:10

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. He is co-equal, co-eternal and co-existent with the Father and with the Son. His ministry upon the earth is to convict and covert man as well as be the great paraclete (comforter, counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener and standby) to the Church. The Holy Spirit is the One who indwells every believer at salvation to enable us to live a fruitful, joyful Christian life.

Acts 8:12-17; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 11:14-16; Acts 15:7-9

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit,  given at the Day of Pentecost and subsequent to our new birth, is to empower the Church to preach and demonstrate the Gospel throughout the whole earth. All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek this promise of the Father. The Holy Spirit baptism is manifested through the variety of spiritual gifts, as the Spirit disperses, to build up and sanctify the church, demonstrating the validity of the resurrection, and confirming the power of the Gospel.

Repentance

Acts 2:21, 3:19; I John 1:9

Repentance is the decision and commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Christ. Repentenacne enables us to receive redemption and to be regenerated by the Holy Spirit.

The Church

Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23; John 17:11, 20-23

The church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus’ Great Commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church and a member of the body of Christ.

Sanctification

I Thessalonians 5:23; II Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 3:12-14; I Corinthians 1:30

The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ’s return.

Healing for the Sick

Psalms 103:2; Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16: 17-18; Acts 8:6-7; I Peter 2:24; I John 2; 1 Corinthians 12:9; II Corinthians 8:9

The death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ not only secured the eternal redemption from sin, but also redemption from sickness and disease and redemption from poverty and lack. Healing of the sick is illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus, and included in the commission of Jesus to His disciples. It is given as a sign, which is to follow believers. It is also a part of Jesus’ work on the Cross and one of the gifts of the Spirit. Divine Healing has been provided for by the Atonement.

Christian Living

Acts 2:46-47, Mark 16: 15, Acts 5:42, 2 Tim 2:15

All Christians are responsible to live Christlike lives. This includes coming together weekly to worship in the house of God, to frequently gather together in homes for fellowship, the breaking of bread and study of the Word together. We are ordained for reaching out to the lost with the Gospel and serving the body of Christ with the gifts the Spirit of God has given to each of us. We are all responsible for being equipped in the Word of God in order not to be ashamed and to be prepared for works of ministry. We are stewards of all the resources God has entrusted to us and thus are responsible for bringing the Lord’s tithe and our offerings (seed) into the House of God.

Heaven

The Bible teaches that the Believer has an eternal inheritance in Christ (Ephesians 1:14), which is to spend eternity in Heaven in the Presence of the Lord (Revelation 21:1-3), living in complete Peace and Joy (Revelation 21:4), with glorified bodies (1 Corinthians 5:51-54), ruling and reigning for eternity (1 Corinthians 6:2-3).

Hell

The Bible teaches that those who die in their sins, having never accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts as their personal Lord & Savior, are lost in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:12-15) for eternity, with no hope for repentance or salvation. (Luke 16:26).

Second Coming

Matthew 24:30, 26:63-64; Acts 1:9-11; I Thessalonians 4:15-17; II Thessalonians 1:7-8; Revelation 1:7
Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His Kingdom. This will occur at a date undisclosed by the Scriptures.
