Isa. 54:2 His House Expansion Project
We Say Yes!
Reach Church launched in January 2018 in the living room of Pastors James and Christina Weidner, just weeks after returning from nearly 10 years in China. On Resurrection Weekend 2018, the Saturday living room service transitioned to a Sunday service in a hotel conference room. In August 2018, Reach Church had its official launch by renting a storefront on Hwy 190 in Covington and began offering more community and family-oriented programming. In 2020, having already outgrown the rented facilities, at the beginning of Covid's chaos, our current property on LA-59 became available, and we did not hesitate to jump out of the boat and secure it. The Lord has been faithful to provide, and the Church continues to grow and meet needs in our community. In 2025, revival fires lit our altars once again, and Pastors James and Christina, along with the people, were stirred as the Lord began to accelerate vision, dreams, and hope in our hearts. At some point in the latter half of 2025, Pastor James said yes to the Lord and, in faith, believed for expansion. This was a significant shift in Pastor James's heart. The season has shifted; revival fires are burning; people's hearts are stirred by first-love devotion, and we need to make space. The Lord's provision of this property has been amazing. And now we set our sights and faith on how and where the Lord will provide space for expansion. Jesus said, "I will build my Church." So it is our job to love Jesus and just be obedient.
Phases: Step 1: Pay Off Debt. Step 2: Secure Dirt or Property. Step 3: Develop A Plan. Step 4: Build or Re-purpose.
The vision is growing, and we need space! Yes, we need space to grow Reach Church, but it is so much more than that. This is about obeying the Lord and saying yes! Our commitment to the Lord will not change who we are. There is hardly anything we would not want to offer our community if we had the space to do so. From our Learning Community to Single Mom's. From Equiping Ministers to teaching children their first instrument. From feeding our congregation every Sunday to feeding every hungry person in our region. As the Lord provides it we will offer it. A space where revival fires can burn, lives can be restored, and where there is enough space for the harvest to flood in.
We are believing God for a great awakening in our land. This means people are coming and will continue to flood into the Kingdom of God. We need space to contain the harvest in a Jesus-filled, Word-centered, Holy Spirit revival atmosphere, Community and care-driven, with altar space enough to be laid out in the presence of Jesus, and building space enough to run when our feet are on fire with the Gospel. Come on, somebody....! The Northshore needs a large altar to honor God by allowing the Holy Spirit to have His way, with all His gifts in operation, with all His Saints operating in them, in our Church services for as long as he wants when we come together.
Building With The Provsion Of The Lord
We don't like debt and God is BIG. So the goal is simple: Pay off our debt and build with cash. We will figure this out as we journey. We simply will not put ourself in the position where the budget becomes king. To accomplish this may require more patience. It may require squeezing into our smaller facilities for longer than we want to and offering a few services each weeken d while working hard at maintaining our culture. We have a big, rich God who is well able to meet this need. So we need to get in faith, ask for His wisdom and provision, and patiently and intentionally move forward. We plan to tackle this expansion one step at a time as the Lord provides, and to make wise, good stewardship decisions along the way.
Vow Commitment FormHis House Fund & Stewardship
As of January 2026, Reach owes approximately $1,000,000 on our property on a 10-year amortization schedule. We are making it hurt every month. To launch this expansion campaign, Reach Church commits, with the Lord's provision, to sow an additional $100,000 each year toward the cancellation of this debt until it is paid in full. In addition to our monthly payments and annual seed, we are asking each member to prayerfully consider a monthly or one-time seed as the Lord would have them join this effort. This His House Seed will only be used for facility debt and expansion, not for operations. Our Servant Council will steward all seed and expansion projects.
